Where to start?

Three steps to go from discovery to action.

Why sell on Amazon FBA in the United Kingdom?

Amazon.co.uk is one of the most mature and profitable e-commerce markets in Europe.

Massive market

Amazon.co.uk is the UK's largest e-commerce platform with over 30 million active customers. The UK market offers high average order values and strong Prime membership penetration.

Fast fulfilment

With Amazon FBA, your products are stored in UK fulfilment centres. Customers get next-day or same-day Prime delivery — giving you a huge competitive advantage over sellers who handle their own logistics.

Scalable business

Once your systems are in place, Amazon FBA scales without you needing to scale your time. Storage, shipping and customer service are all handled by Amazon — freeing you to focus on growth and product expansion.

Amazon FBA UK: key facts for 2026

£ Selling costs in pounds sterling

On Amazon.co.uk, all fees are charged in GBP. The Professional selling plan costs £25 per month (exc. VAT). Referral fees range from 8% (electronics) to 15% (home and kitchen), and FBA fulfilment fees vary from approximately £2.50 for small, light items up to £15+ for large or heavy products.

% UK VAT obligations

If your UK sales exceed £90,000 in a 12-month period, you must register for VAT in the UK. The standard VAT rate is 20%. Even below the threshold, many sellers register voluntarily to reclaim VAT on imports and business costs. Always take professional tax advice before starting.

🇬🇧 Post-Brexit considerations

Since Brexit, the UK is treated as a separate customs territory from the EU. If you import goods from outside the UK (including from EU suppliers), import duty and UK VAT at 20% apply. Selling from the UK to EU customers requires separate EU VAT registration. Amazon's Pan-European FBA no longer covers the UK — UK inventory must be sent to UK fulfilment centres specifically.
